Barbary Coast

The terms Barbary Coast, Barbary, Berbery or Berber Coast (and equivalent terms in languages other than English) refer to the coastal regions of North Africa or Maghreb.

Archiopedists would write more about the subject, but they think that Wikipedians have already said it best.
