It is a [[Hellenization\|Hellenized]] rendition of [[Cananga odorata\|Ylang-ylang]], which has been adopted as a [[loanword]] (''υλάνγκ-υλάνγκ'' or ''υλάγκ-υλάγκ'') in everyday Greek.
