Summary

Sokari (Roman), the entrance to the underground gallery where it is alleged that fire setting was used by the Romans to break the rock (see arrows). This entrance is scorched and it is unclear if this should be dated to the Roman mine or to a fire that occurred during the reopening of the mine in the 19th century.

This picture has been taken by Barbara Tratsaert.
